Ingredients:
1.5 cup gram flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup ghee/oil
Pinch of food colour

தேவையான பொருட்கள்:
1.5 கப் கிராம் மாவு
1/2 கப் சர்க்கரை
1/2 கப் நெய்/எண்ணெய்
உணவு வண்ணத்தின் சிட்டிகை

Recipe:
Take gram flour, ghee in a heavy kadai and roast. Keep the flame to a low. Initially the besan will absorb all the ghee and you will see the mixture getting thicker. After some minutes of stirring, you will see that the besan mixture starts to become thin and ghee will be released from the sides. Once it looks like watery consistency switch off the flame. Now in a pan take sugar, water and let it boil. Boil until thick consistency and switch off the flame. Add a pinch of food colour and add to the besan ghee mixture. Mix well and transfer to a greased tray. Set aside for 10 min. Now cut into pieces and serve. Besan burfi ready.
