With the announcement of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya is being expedited further.

Work on the foundation of the temple was completed on the day of Makar Sankranti. Only two blocks of the raft foundation were left for casting, which was done on January 14 and left for a week to dry. The work of setting the stone will be the next course of action.

Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that the construction work of the temple has been expedited.

"Darshan will start in December 2023. The goal of the trust is that the construction of the ground floor should be completed three months before December 2023. The darshan will begin by establishing Ramlala in a grand temple," he added.

Significantly, more than 50,000 cubic feet of stones have reached Ayodhya. The rest are also coming soon. These stones are cut into specific sizes, prepared and ordered. The construction of the base plinth will be done by L&T in technical consultation with TCS.

The company of Sompura will get the work of the third phase of temple construction done, in which the main construction and design and marking of the temple are included.
