What an incredible sunrise! Mount Cho delivers again :)

In this episode, I head from camping on Mount Chogatake at the Chōgatake Hütte down into Kamikochi via Tokusawa-en. My Zpacks triplex tent stayed up great all night, but there was a lot of condensation in the morning after the temp dropped just before sunrise. I let it dry for a bit and got a later start hiking since I wasn't in a rush. Worth it to dry out!

The hike down started on the ridge, quickly went down into such a pretty forest (with LOTS of mud and bog like areas). Then, it become lots of steep steps down onto roots and rotted out wooden ladders. I didn't love the last mile down to Tokusawa, but I loved the forest right down from Mount Chogatake.

I met an awesome Japanese woman who named herself my "mountain momma"; she was with me to see the Okojo and Glory in the last episode. We had another great chat for breakfast, and I will always remember her! Shout out to my Mountain Momma!

The views along the way down of the Hotaka Mountain Range are insanely beautiful once again. Happy happy!

Thank you so much for coming along and subscribing! I'll see y'all in the next episode :)
