Paul Hausser, born on October 7, 1880, in Brandenburg an der Havel, was a prominent German military officer. He began his career in the Prussian army in 1892, eventually graduating from the Prussian Military Academy in 1911. Hausser served on the Eastern Front during World War I, rising to the rank of major. Retained in the postwar Reichswehr, he achieved the rank of Generalleutnant before retiring in 1932. He later joined the SS and became a key figure in the Waffen-SS during World War II. Hausser passed away in 1972.
