On 26th September 1998, the long-running BBC1 sitcom 'Allo 'Allo! began a repeat run on Saturday nights, starting with the pilot episode from 1982. Under the auspices of David Croft, Charles Garland was tasked with re-editing the episodes for broadcast. Not only were they reduced in duration to a more schedule-friendly 29 minutes, scenes were peppered with 'canned' laughter where the studio audience's reaction fell below expectations.

The opening episode of series two, now referred to as 'Six Big Boobies', was broadcast on Saturday 14th November 1998. Comparing an off-air VHS recording to the unedited 1985 original, this video highlights the missing material and provides various examples of laughter where previously none could be heard.
