Viaporin Tuoppi is the biggest yacht race exclusively for wooden boats in Northern Europe. This annual event draws a large part of the Finnish wooden sailing boat fleet to Helsinki for a race and wooden boat event like no other in Finland.

The race name Viaporin tuoppi means "the cup of Viapori", Viapori is another name for the Suomenlinna or Sveaborg fortress island in Helsinki.

I dug into my video archives and put together this video from the 2014 event. The video is shot from the Suomenlinna island (and the ferry going to the island), a great vantage point if you want to watch the race.
