Comparing the UN Security Council to an old club, External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar said that the current members of the club don't want to let others join and they want to retain control. They are not open to admitting new members or having their ways questioned, he said, adding that this is a problem because it makes the UN less effective in dealing with important world issues. Many countries around the world feel that there should be changes and improvements in the way the UN works.
