About 10 years ago I planted some 100 trees, mostly Alder, Willow and Aspen, with some Beech, Birch and Larch. Some have "thrived", some have held their ground.

It is a little carbon sink, a little attempt at firewood growing and a little bot of habitat that wouldn't otherwise be there.
