After the death of his young daughter, Thomas (Simon Haycock) Dunn is a man who has lost his faith. His life has fallen apart and his confidence is shaken. One day he wakes up again to discover that his wife Mandy (Lucy Drive) is finally pregnant again. Perhaps this is his chance to break free from the tragedy of the past and find his faith again. That same day, a large alien mothership appears in the sky and the people of Earth are suddenly plagued by visions of the end of civilization. Tom and Mandy are separated when the mothership sends a huge alien fleet to attack the cities of Earth. Tom must look deep within himself to find not only his faith, but also the wisdom and strength to save humanity from the horrors that threaten it.
