On our 4th day land travel from Manila to Davao city.. quick side trip to 1. Hinatuan Enchanted River, also called the Hinatuan Sacred River, a deep spring river on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It earned the moniker "enchanted river" from the diplomat Modesto Farolan who described the river in his poem entitled "Rio Encantado".[1]
2. Bislig Bay walk - one place in Bislig, which you should not fail to visit. Located along Brgy. Poblacion or simply Bislig Highway, you can have a photo ops with the “I Love Bislig” sign. During the day, you can enjoy the scenery as well as the fresh air coming from the sea facing the Pacific Ocean
3. Tinuy-an Falls is a multi-tiered waterfall in Bislig, Surigao del Sur, 95 m wide and 55 metres (180 ft) high, touted as the little Niagara Falls of the Philippines. Tinuy-an is a white water curtain that flows in three levels (with a fourth tier hidden from view) and is said to be the widest waterfall in the Philippines.
