The Father is a very peculiar character. Tharael refers to him using both female and male pronouns, he himself confirms his "vessel always had aspects of both genders", and says he has a "motherly affection" for Tharael. His ingame model is male, but uses female animations, his (English) voice actor is female, and her voice was pitched down, creating a very uncanny, ambiguous voice.
