In my collection of Bachmann Thomas and Friends characters, there are many locomotives based on designs from the London, Midland & Scottish Railway. These include NWR Nos. 2 'Edward' (Furness Railway K2 Class, though heavily modified), 3 'Henry' (LMS Stanier Class 5), 5 'James' (Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Class 28, fitted with a front pony truck), 9 'Donald' and 10 'Douglas' (Caledonian Railway 812 Class), and D1 'Diesel' (British Rail Class 08, the design of which was based on the LMS 12033 series).

Other LMS locos from the series include BoCo (BR Class 28, allocated to BR's Midland Region), Arthur (LMS Ivatt Class 2MT), Derek (BR Class 17, allocated to BR's Scottish Region), 'Arry, Bert, Splatter, Dodge, Paxton, and Sidney (all BR Class 08s), and Duchess (LMS Coronation Class).
