🐟 Flies that worked today: Almost - a home-made spinner where the spoon blocks the hook... next time I will try a simple small spinner on my fly line!

Session Notes: I parked at the closest possible free parking at the East end of Spanish Banks Beach, and walked a short way to the Jericho Pier. I saw a few others fishing shrimp on hooks with a heavy weight and catching small shiners (ocean perch), while many others were throwing crab traps with meat to entice crabs. This was my first time ocean pier fishing and fishing the Jericho Pier at Jericho Beach, and I had fun exploring the different parts of the pier. I found that many small fish hide under the dock and away from all of the people, but I couldn't catch one. I also tried a silly homemade spinning lure on my fly line that attracted some little and some medium (7-8" maybe) fish from the rocks and the end of the tier that looked almost like little sharks. Next time, I'm going to try a proper light-weight spinner and see if I can hook one of these fish!! Thanks for watching guys, take care of yourselves, and good luck fishing!
