This 1:72 scale model of Operation Market Garden has been built over more than two decades. The 80th anniversary of this significant period in the Second World War, felt the right time to share it with those who enjoy both model making and the history of the period portrayed.

The model clearly isn't finished, it may never be. It's also not built to scale and there's a lot of artistic licence in the layout in order to be able to represent key locations and landmarks. It starts in Neerpelt, Belgium, moving through to Holland, ending in Wolfheze, on a 100ft rectangular table, but we hope you enjoy this video of it.
