Join Barb and I on a remote Adirondack Canoe Trip as we paddle the Bog River Flow to Hitchins Pond .... one of the most beautiful and remote Adirondack canoe routes. Our destination is hiking to the summit of the Hitchins Pond overlook (Or Lows Ridge as some people call it) where we take in amazing views of the Adirondack landscape... which include lakes, rivers, and mountains in every size, shape and form. Along the way we pass under a deeply-aged iron railroad bridge thats a landmark to the area... and later explore the historic ruins of the Abbott Augustus Lows empire where his business dealings in the late 1890's and early 1900's included wood products, maple syrup, spring water, and more. It is because of the two dams Abbott Augustus Lows built... that this area was inadvertently transformed into the paddling paradise that we enjoy today. The two dams we see today are modern replacements.

* IMPORTANT NOTE ON DRONE USE *
Before launching a drone be aware of the FAA rules on usage and restrictions. The Adirondacks also have their own set of rules regarding drone use. You are not allowed to launch and operate a drone from within the Bog River Flow boundary. Our shots were taken outside the no-fly boundary and the drone kept within our line of sight. Below are links to help you fly legally:
