Jalpaiguri Law College (Government Aided), a pioneering Law College was founded on 14th September 1981 with the objective of promoting and providing quality legal education is the said region. It is the only Law College in the entire District and its neighboring District of Coochbehar. It is situated in the heart of the twon of Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.

         It aims at producing law graduates with a high degree of competence to deal with the emerging challenges posed by ever changing national and international legal scenario. It also strives to spread legal literacy and legal aid to the poor and needy with a view to take justice to the doorsteps of common man.…

It may be undertaken for several reasons, including to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for admission to legal practice in a particular jurisdiction, to provide a greater breadth of knowledge to those working in other professions such as politics or business, to provide current lawyers with advanced training or greater specialisation, or to update lawyers on recent developments in the law.

Jalpaiguri Law College is a college imparting legal education in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. It was established in the year 1981. It is the only government aided Law College in the entire District and its neighboring District of Cooch Behar. The college is affiliated to University of North Bengal.[1] This college is also approved by the Bar Council of India.[2]
