Roedd yr ystadeg uchod felly’n sbardun amlwg i’r darn yma o waith - a gwerth blwyddyn yn unig o allforion llechi oedd y 116,000 o dunelli yma, gyda’r rhan fwyaf o’r llechi yn dod o Flaenau Ffestiniog, ardal gyfarwydd iawn i Llio.

Gwynedd’s slate landscape has now secured UNESCO’s World Heritage Site status! Six poets and musicians who all have slate in their blood have been invited to showcase six tracks that have been inspired by the quarrying heritage of their native areas.

Llio’s work was inspired from her visit with the music producer, Dyl Mei, to the Porthmadog Maritime Museum, Gwynedd. It was there that Llio discovered the vast amounts of slate that was exported from Porthmadog harbour in the height of the slate industry – 116,000 tonnes a year.
