The Spinal Twist is one of my favourite movement/stretches to share with people who have experienced cancer surgery and/or radiation in the chest, breast or axilla (armpit)! It is a complex way to lengthen through the front of the shoulder and chest, as well as promote rotation (turning) through the ribs and mid-spine. Listen to the video to learn what the "cherry on top" is for this exercise!

Please note that this stretch is NOT appropriate for early-stage surgery recovery and should be used with caution if you have been diagnosed with osteoporosis.

Did you find this helpful?

This is just one of the 75+ recovery exercises that are included in my online Breast Cancer Recovery Program. If you're interested in learning more about this program, I invite you to learn more here: https://beth-hoag.mykajabi.com/breast...

Happy stretching!
