Making PPPOE Server and Client Configuration on Mikrotik

PPPOE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) is a protocol that encapsulates PPP frames into Ethernet frames using the device's MAC Address.
This protocol is often used among ISPs to distribute internet connections to customers because it is considered more secure because in addition to using the username and password authentication method to be connected, the PPPOE protocol also encrypts each data transaction.

PPPOE Server can also distribute IP addresses to PPPOE Client devices automatically like DHCP Server through layer-2 connections such as Ethernet, Wireless, Fiber Optic and even bridge interfaces and Tunnels such as EoIP and VLANs.

We can also create a centralized username database system using Radius Server, or on Mikrotik commonly called usermanager. so that we can handle a very large number of Client users easily.
