When your strengths become your weakness, when what your good at becomes your detriment! What are we taking about specifically?
Coping with stress when life seems to be constantly happening, tugging on you, asking of and for a good portion of your life. When weâre busy making things happen for people all the time, what do we do? Thatâs what this video addressesâŚ.letting go, releasing and saying no.
Getting out of our own way when we didnât even know we are in our own way and possibly standing in someone elseâs way. Letting others wait and allowing them to live their respective lives. Let them! Let things be at least till tomorrow!
New perspectives here, lessons on taking on too much, as erykah badu says in her song bag ladyâŚyour gonna hurt yourself carrying so many bags. Too much luggage you and me both maybe carrying. Letâs manage it together
What is holistic self care:
Self-care is the practice of taking intentional actions to maintain and improve your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Itâs about recognizing your needs and prioritizing them to foster a balanced and fulfilling life.
*Physical Self-Care:* This involves taking care of your body through regular exercise, a balanced diet, sufficient sleep, and routine medical check-ups. Physical self-care can also include activities that help you relax and recharge, such as taking a bath, getting a massage, or spending time outdoors.
*Mental Self-Care:* Mental self-care focuses on keeping your mind sharp and your thoughts healthy. This can be achieved by engaging in activities that stimulate your mind, such as reading, puzzles, or learning something new. It also involves managing stress, practicing mindfulness, and setting boundaries to protect your mental space.
*Emotional Self-Care:* Emotional self-care is about acknowledging and expressing your feelings in healthy ways. This could involve talking to a trusted friend, journaling, or practicing self-compassion. Itâs important to allow yourself to feel and process emotions without judgment, which can help you stay emotionally balanced.
*Social Self-Care:* Maintaining healthy relationships is a crucial aspect of self-care. This involves spending time with loved ones, fostering connections, and seeking support when needed. Social self-care also means knowing when to say no and taking time for yourself without feeling guilty.
*Spiritual Self-Care:* For many, spiritual self-care is about finding purpose and meaning in life. This might involve meditation, prayer, spending time in nature, or engaging in practices that align with your personal beliefs and values. Spiritual self-care helps you stay connected to something larger than yourself and can bring a sense of peace and fulfillment.
*Why Self-Care is Important:* Self-care is not selfish; itâs essential. When you prioritize your well-being, youâre better equipped to handle lifeâs challenges and take care of others. It helps prevent burnout, reduces stress, and improves your overall quality of life. By regularly practicing self-care, you can maintain a healthier balance between your personal and professional life, leading to greater happiness and productivity.
Incorporating self-care into your daily routine might require some effort and discipline, but the benefits are well worth it. Whether itâs taking a few minutes each day to meditate, going for a walk, or simply breathing deeply, these small acts of self-care can have a profound impact on your overall well-being.
