Inside Ushguli village in Svaneti, Georgia. This is the highest permanently inhabited point in Europe! Driving through some of the most remote and dangerous roads in the Caucasus we head up to 2100m and the beautiful village of Ushguli.
The village is completely shut off from the outside world for more than 6 months of the year and the local people have to live off what they grow in the summer months. Ushguli is also one of the most stunning places we have ever seen, we incredible views over the High Caucasus mountain range and Georgia's highest peak - Mount Shkhara (5193 metres).
