Note on Language: These videos were recorded in 2014. In creating them, every effort was taken to use the language and terms that the person living with Alzheimer's wished to use. At the time, each person appearing in these videos wished to use "Alzheimer's patient" as their preferred term.

As an organization, the Alzheimer's Support Network does not encourage the use of the term "patient" outside of a clinical setting, unless that is the term the person living with the disease prefers.

These videos are presented in their full original format and reflect the context of the time. As such, they reflect how preferred language can and does change over time. The only modification made was to change the title of the videos from "Alzheimer's from the Patient's perspective" to "Alzheimer's from the Person's perspective."
