If you love Christmas and winter activities – visiting Santa Clause Village in Finnish Lapland, Arctic Circle may be something interesting and memorable to do! It is the official hometown of Santa Claus and it is open all year round. It becomes especially busy and crowded around Christmas time. Today, I invite you to join me in walking and exploring Santa Clause Village. I will tell you my honest opinion, so you will see and decide for yourself if it is worth visiting or not.

Santa Claus Village is located 8 km from Rovaniemi. We took a local bus number 8 to get there. Let me clarify something right away, Santa Claus Village is not like your usual theme park. There is no entrance fee and no organized entertainment. It is where a bunch of independent contractors offer a variety of products and services independently, such as lodging, restaurants, shopping, tours, and other indoor and outdoor activities.
