I've been asked more than once, "did you toast your battery"? Well, I thought it would be fun to pull some footage from the end of day when the the car was at a low state of charge. You can see that starting with about 100 miles of range, it was only a couple of laps before the battery got very warm. I didn't see any messages about power limited, but the car was definitely more sluggish and lacked a lot of punch.

So did I toast my battery? Yep, but it still works great. Maybe we should call it "advanced preconditioning" for supercharging.

BTW, doing the fancy copy and zoom of the track mode display took literally 24 hours to render. A computationally expensive video! #tesla #teslamodel3 #teslaracing #trackday #evs
