We received an email from a Parent who expressed his desires to bring his family to the Polynesian Cultural Center especially his young 10 year old son Michael Alaniz who through the pictures and videos of his parents honeymoon, wanted to experience the same thing they did in Hawaii all those years ago. Heres an extract his father wrote in the email:

"...Michael has congenital heart disease and has endured several heart surgeries in his childhood. He again had surgery last week and will be recovering indoors for the rest of his summer. He recently asked me again about planning a trip to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Unfortunately, outdoor activity or travel is not allowed for him right now. I am hoping the Polynesian Cultural Center can send him a special get well message or gift. It would make this kid very happy...."

We couldn't be more happier than to fullfill this request and decided to get as many employees involved. Their anticipation when they heard about Michaels story goes to show the love we have for a young man who struggles with battles we may never experience, but if we could send just a little bit of Aloha to cheer up his day then I feel as if we have cured his heart condition in so many more ways.

Mahalo Nui Loa for all those who participated and we wish you Michael Alaniz a speedy recovery and Hope to see you walk through the gates of the Polynesian Cultural Center real soon. ALOHA!
