Messing up is a good thing. And here is why 👇

From a mess, you can learn what doesn’t work so that the next time you sit down to paint, you can try another way.

But I know how frustrating it can be when a painting doesn’t turn out the way you hoped it would.

This still happens to me when I try to paint new scenes and objects.

I go through weird-looking first attempts, looking for little bits and pieces I like and what didn’t work so that I create the final artwork with everything I’ve learned.

That’s the funny thing about artistic growth.

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been painting. The moment you try something new, new challenges will present themselves.

And as much as we want to create “perfect” art, there is no such thing.

👉 There is only art that makes us happy and makes the world a better place.  💕

This week, I’ll be reopening the Paint to Paper Challenge. This time, it will be even more magical! ✨
