English has 2 kinds of words:

Information words...

And Grammar words (Also known as English Rhythm Words).

One of the fastest ways to speak English like a native is to start using the 'rhythm pronunciation' of grammar words in English.

What do I mean by this?

English is a 'stress-timed' language which means that not all syllables are stressed evenly.

And in speech, not all words are stressed evenly.

Instead, we stress the important 'information' words (the ones that carry the meaning of what we're saying)...

And we reduce the pronunciation of grammar words (which are there to make English grammatically correct).

I call this 'reduced' pronunciation of grammar words 'rhythmic pronunciation' because they give English its rhythm and melody.

Here's the thing...

Grammar words are usually the most common words in English because they appear in every sentence...

Yet many learners of English don't even know they exist...

Or how to pronounce them!
