Four years ago, back in April 2019, as Network Rail was preparing to commence work on phase one of the Dawlish sea wall, we had some rough seas.

These were very mild seas compared to the storm of 2014, but it wasn't always ideal if you were waiting to catch a train to work.

Often commuters would get soaked before they even started their 8-hour day in the office. Here is one of the reasons the sea wall upgrade is required.
