Malnichora Tea Garden Bangladesh Chhata Subcontinent's largest tea garden established in 1854 by Lot Harshan on an area of 1500 acres. This oldest and largest tea garden is located a short distance from Sylhet International Airport. Tea was first produced in China in 1650. Drinking tea was one of the seven daily tasks of the country's intellectuals. In 1854, about 200 years after 1650, Sylhet tea production began in the Indian subcontinent Gradually the British and Bangladeshi people got used to tea and the tea cultivation of the sub-continent started from the Mane gardens of Sylhet. After that the country is Malnichora Tea Garden still in private ownership since 1988 by many British Pakistani and Bangladeshi managers except Shatabdi Mane. Tourists from home and abroad come to see this extensive tea garden of Sylhet, which is surrounded by high and low hills full of natural beauty.
