The IGGA talks to to Dr. Linda Pierce, Principal Engineer at Nichols Consulting Engineers, who spent many years as an engineer at the Washington Department of Transportation. As part of her PhD research, Dr. Pierce completed a historical review of dowel bar retrofit, or DBR. Her research also assessed DBR performance in Washington State and provided an overview of construction best practices, making her one of the foremost experts on this preservation treatment.
