We were invited out to #ECD Automotive Designs, makers of the custom-built Land Rover Defender. In addition to stuffing a Corvette engine under the hood, ECD lets owners customize nearly every detail inside and out.

ECD has now introduced a new model in their range, based on the Land Rover Series IIA built from 1961 to 1971. Like the Defender, the truck is powered by an LS3 V8 but this one is built without creature comforts like A/C and power steering for owners seeking a more purist experience.

**We apologize for the poor audio at 1:27 in the Series II. The truck is very loud inside and we did our best to correct it, even driving without the vents open on a 100-degree day. Just turn your volume down a bit for this section.
