Banana syrup

Material:
5 cups of water,
400 grams of fine sweet potato powder,
300 grams of caster sugar,
1 tsp of banana oil,
1/2 cup of corn flour

practice:
1. Take one and ½ cups of water and sweet potato powder, mix well to form a paste, add banana oil, mix well and set aside
2. Boil the remaining 3 ½ cups of water, add fine sugar and melt until boiling, then pour it into the slurry of method 1 and stir quickly to form a paste
3. Pour the flour slurry into a square container, knock out the air, put it in a steamer and steam for 20 minutes on medium heat until it is cooked and set, take it out and let it cool
4. Spread the corn flour on the table, take out the cold banana syrup, and smear a layer of corn flour on the surface
5. Use a dough cutter to cut the banana syrup into chunks, and coat the cut with corn flour.
6. It's more delicious when it is cold in the refrigerator

Note:
1. Banana oil has a strong taste, just add a little bit is enough. Since banana oil is very easy to evaporate, be sure to close the lid immediately after use
2. Banana oil can also be replaced by pandanin, which is light green and can be bought in Southeast Asian stores
3. You can also add taro essence, strawberry essence or cherry essence, each will show a different color, all can be bought in the baking materials shop
