Luna, a young girl with the ability to hear animals' thoughts, notices strange behavior among her neighborhood pets. With the help of her loyal dog Bruno and wildlife expert Dr. Rosa Green, she investigates the cause. They discover a bioluminescent fungus on an old oak tree, which has trapped baby squirrels inside a hollow log.
