Amongst all the classic cars at this Swettenham Arms pub meet I was really taken with a 1927 V8 Lincoln so tracked down the owner, who was kind enough to have a chat and tell me all about his fantastic vintage saloon.
Other gems at this one included a pair of Rover P4s, Minis, a vintage Standard tourer, Mercedes cabriolet, a glorious recreation of a 1950s Ferrari Testa Rossa (250TR) V12, a Minor Traveller that once resided in dad's garage, Porsche 356 Coupe, Renault 5 Turbo, Lancia Fulvia, Jaguar XK120, early VW Beetles & many more classic cars.
This Tuesday evening weekly meet takes place at the Swettenham Arms pub in Cheshire throughout the year, mainly during Spring/Summer/early Autumn due to the length of the evenings. It started out as a classic car meet, nowadays there's a mix of older cars - including the great old Lincoln - and also later performance-oriented cars, but as this is the Old Classic Car channel I tend to focus mainly on the classic cars that turn up.
These informal evening and morning classic car meets are really becoming very popular indeed, and all being well we'll be back at the Swettenham Arms pub next year for more of the same. This one was recorded in July.
