These were a staple in our home as a child. You can use the pastry crust when mixed and form into a dough to add many other varieties of fillings, baked until golden brown, and you'll be craving 😋
You can also use ground chicken, ground pork or even vegetables or chunks as a filling instead of beef.
INGREDIENTS:
4 Cups of Sifted All Purpose Flour
2/3 Cup of Shortening
2/3 Cup of Unsalted Butter
1/4 Tsp Salt
Ice Water to bind the dough
Egg for Egg Wash
For the Filling:
1/2 Lb Ground Beef
Carrots
Sweet Peppers
Onion
Garlic
Soy Sauce
Oil
Any Seasonings of your choice
