Ok here we go... Gaius Julius Caesar. The Roman... emperor? Consul? Dictator? God? I mean when I started this video, I know this was going to be an epic, but a 45 minute video? Come on... I didn't expect that. But Julius Caesar is simply that dude. The guy single-handedly jump-started the Roman Empire, which, at the time of his ascension was still the Roman Republic. So why is it, that Gaius Julius Caesar was able to completely change the trajectory of an a republic that was entirely set in its ways?
That's what I want to explore in this Julius Caesar biography, and yes, I do apologize that I just used the word 'explore'.... point is: I want to talk about Julius Caesar. Period. And after that... maybe I want to talk about some other Roman emperors, but let's start with the man himself, the man they call Imperator, the man the Romans declared a God, and the man whose name was adopted by every Roman emperor since, and even by rulers outside of ome:

Episode 4 Of 'Blood: The Period(s) Of Conquerors — Imperator Gaius Jules Caesar

Notes:
Man... history videos are... a pain. There's a lot less embellishing allowed when it comes to history, because you know... it's all factual and that. No fun. Also, the bigger the person, the more historians weighed in on a party they are hundreds of years too late for — or in the case of Julius Caesar 2000 years too late for. But... I won't let that stop me.
Just do know: While I am 100% confident that I am giving you a very detailed outlook on who Gaius Julius Caesar was, and why he is special, if this video peaked your interest... do feel encouraged to venture out into the World Wide Web and do your own research on the man that started Rome as we know it.

Get All My Artwork & Support The Channel:
I get a lot of questions about my artwork and where it’s from or rather who draws it. Well the answer is that I create it — I don’t draw it. I use AI to create the artwork, using specific prompts, specific style influences from 18th and 19th century artists, and I spend about 10 hours per video just on the artwork. Each video has roughly double the artwork of what you actually see in the video, so a lot of it is unused. The good news here though is that you can get all that artwork on my Patreon — the artwork I do use, and the artwork I don’t use. Plus, by subscribing to my Patreon you are making a major contribution to Briefed and helping me to keep this channel going, because this is my full time job and the survival of the channel and quality of the videos greatly depends on said support. In return for supporting, you get more than the artwork though — you also get exclusive videos and producer credit, as well as access to a producer group that gets to vote on thumbnails, gets behind the scenes etc.
If you choose to become a Patron — thank you. I do not take it for granted.

I used a lot of clips from Rome's HBO, and everything that wasn't Rome was either Netflix' 'Barbarians' or Ridley Scott's 'Gladiator'.
