I heard this is a great Tamiya Rwd buggy and I definitely agree, it's a cool one, check it out!

As I tend to do it, the video is made up of 3 parts, first we get to look at the buggy quite close to get familiar with it, then I take it for a spin and we see how it does, and finally I try to pretend I know a lot about it that might be worth telling.

About the car:
Tamiya kit 58587 (probably cheapest kit available)
Converted to DT-02 using parts TA-51518, TA-10440105, TA-19005987, TA-19465651 and some random stuff I had laying around.
Motor: Tamiya Torque Tuned 540
ESC: Tamiya TBLE-02
Servo: JX Servo PDI-HV5911MG
Radio system: Flysky, the one that everyone uses...
Wheels and tyres: Whatever I had around that was black.
"Upgrades": Bearings, Aluminium hex adapters, brace for front shock tower, increased cooling for motor.

The story behind this:
So I got a Tamiya DT-03 Neo Fighter in 2020 when coming back to the hobby and I sort of figured it all out again. In 2021 I got a DT-01. So one might say it was about time I got the DT-02, now in 2022. It's hard to say, but I do understand why this is so highly praised, a cheap buggy that drives so well. It's a cool buggy, and it sounds good, too!

The idea is to keep this one as close to stock as possible, just to sort of "learn" the chassis, and then I can later upgrade it or build a "better" version. So far this is great, just using standard electronics.

Music in the video:
The Expanse by BlaudisS
Cool electronic music with the added element of a wailing saxophone, perfect for slow motion clips, I think. Check them out:
