Crash protection for your motorcycle | KNOX Suzuki GSXR 750 project Episode 3

Fitting crash protection to the GSXR was an obvious upgrade and is line with the whole Knox ethos of protecting ourselves and our bikes should the worst happen. Riding on track is about pushing the bike further and being not of the mind set that “it will never happen to me”, protecting the bike was always going to feature in the list of things to do. While R and G crash bungs have already been fitted to the bike, in this episode, we get a bit more serious and fit some seriously cool R&G crash protection parts to the motorcycle.

R and G Racing have an admirable reputation in the crash protection game and were a real innovator in the area of protecting your motorcycle and therefore we didn’t have any doubts in choosing R and G protection for the bike.

I am really impressed with the parts and confident they will give the bike a much better chance should I have a crash on one of our many planned track days. They were also super easy to fit and could be fitted by anyone with a couple of sockets, Allen keys and with about an hour’s spare time. We then took the bike out for a quick photoshoot and it all looks amazing... sorry couldn't resist a quick burnout! :)

They also weigh an incredible 1kg in weight so there is absolutely no compromise in terms of weight gain to your motorcycle, in fact, you can pay for it all by removing your mirrors on the track day!
