Description:

MahishasuraMardini Stotram is about Goddess Durga in the form of Mahishasura Mardini.
This Stotra is amongst the most widely sung and celebrated Sanskrit Stotras. The nine-night Navratri festival honors the deity through this song and it is also can be played in everyday prayer, every season, every reason. The Stotra's powerful lyrics depict the Goddess’ various attributes. The alluring beauty of this Stotra portrays in great detail not only her outward appearance but also her inner strength, feelings, abilities, empathy, and majestic demeanor. The poem’s lines effectively use rhyming to describe the Goddess’s divine and immensely powerful essence in exquisite detail.
It is unknown who wrote these lyrics. However, some sources identify the author as Adi Shankara, while others place it as Tenali Ram from the Vijayanagar Empire’s Kavi Ramakrishna.

This version is composed and arranged by Dr. Upali Chattopadhyay and sung by herself and Srijan Chattopadhyay.
