CAMPUS PLACEMENT PROCEDURE :
WRITTEN TEST.
The first round of the campus placement procedure was a pen and paper test, and the cut off for it was 75%. It was technical based, and had 50 questions which were to be completed in 90 minutes. The first 10 questions had multiple correct answers, and the rest had a single correct answer. It covered all the areas equally, namely digital electronics, network analysis and analogue electronics. The network analysis part had numerical questions involving voltages, etc.,. The analogue part covered topics such as zener diodes, and the rest were theoretical based. Digital electronics questions covered topics like counters, flip flops etc.
The 2nd Round of the campus placement procedure was aptitude-based, having 20 questions which were to be completed in 30 minutes. The level of questions were medium to difficult. It had Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation section as well.
PERSONAL INTERVIEW
The next round of the campus placement procedure was the personal interview. Only 12 candidates were shortlisted for the job interview. Initially, the panel attempted to make the candidate comfortable, and asked him about himself. They then cross questioned the candidate based upon the details given by him. He was asked to explain all his projects in detail. He was then given a piece of paper and asked to draw a D flip-flop, which he drew in the conventional method, but the interviewer wanted him to draw it using switches. He was then asked the difference between latches and flip-flops, synchronous and asynchronous counters, and was asked to explain the working of counters. The focus then shifted on the PN junction which he was asked to draw, and was asked to explain its characteristics in all the cases. He was then given a pair of node voltages for cmos, and was asked questions relating to it.
HR INTERVIEW
Only 2 students were selected for the HR interview, which was generic. He was asked questions about himself and his college and company preferences, and his future career plans. He was also asked whether his parents would allow him to relocate to Bangalore if he was hired for the profile.
TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR THE JOB INTERVIEW
1)Stick to the basics as questions asked in the job interview are usually generic.
2)Keep your CV updated and don’t fake about your projects.
