River Ganga Meets Bay of Bengal
GANGA AUR SAGAR KA MILAN STHAL - GANGASAGAR (MOHONA)

The place where Maa Ganga, along with Bhagirath after completing her duty to rest the souls of the sixty thousand sons of King Sagar to peace, joined Sagar and came to be known as Gangasagar. Since then, Gangasagar is considered as a place where followers of Sanatan Dharma believe that taking a holy dip in the Gangasagar one can attain Moksha after giving up all Maya of possessions & luxuries of life.
In Bengali regional mother tongue, the confluence point of Gangasagar is known as Mohona.
