Autumn olive - yes or no for your #foodforest?
Today we look at the pros and cons of the invasive autumn olive shrub, AKA Eleagnus umbellata.
Though it is a nitrogen-fixer, repairs soil, and is known for its edible berries, the autumn olive has also invaded northern woodlands in the United States and displaced native species. Eat it if you have it!
