In 1956 the architect and urbanist Lúcio Costa won the public tender for the construction of the new capital of the country. Brasília, inaugurated only four years later, was a field of experimentation of the modernist movement that was appearing in the country. Among the new proposals was a bold housing solution: the Superquadras.
A bold project that goes far beyond habitation. The Quadra 308 Sul (Block 308 South), inaugurated in 1962, is the only block in Brasilia that was built following strictly the plans of Lúcio Costa and, listed by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage, preserves its characteristics until today!
