CONTEXT ✎: In my AU, William didn't have a good childhood. He experienced the loss of loved ones at an early age, was treated unfairly, and was neglected. I tried to put that in each sequence. Toward the end, he's holding a book that talks about remnant; he discovered it while trying to research more about robotics and design. That discovery prompted him to research more and then to decide if that's something he should even do (as y'all know, he did-).
