The Railway that went to Alton Towers - Could it see Trains ever again?

The Churnet Valley Railway between Denstone & Oakamoor via Alton Towers Station ( originaly Alton Station ) opened in 1849 and had trains running and operation right the way up until 1965

In this Disused Railway Walk i begin at Denstone Station, where i walk along this picturesqe railway line and follow it to walk near to Alton Towers Theme Park and the former Alton ( Towers ) Railway Station. This one is a lovely Station.

Beyon Alton, i push on towards Oakamoor where there was a Station, Level Crossing, Keepers Cottage ans Tunnel too, both of those still exist today.
