Why I bit the bullet and reinvested in the Audix mic package to replace my old drum mics. I'll go over the D6 on kicks, as well as a second outside kick mic. Also, my simple technique for isolating the kick mics using a drum tunnel. On snares, the Audix I5 is great as well as a replacement for Shure SM57s and '58s.
