The Ikarus 293 is one of those prototype Ikarus that didn't really work out. The Ikarus 293 was produced in 1989 and only 1 was made. Between 1989 and 1992, it traveled in Budapest and Pécs. After that, he moved to Tehran, where he stayed until 2009. For 9 years, everyone thought it had been scrapped a long time ago. The bus has been in Tehran ever since and they won't part with it for any money! But how is it now at BKV? In 2017, the idea arose to convert 2 donor 280s into a double-jointed 293. They started to transform it in 2019. So there are already one and a half 293s in the world! BKV has tested/purchased double-articulated buses several times. In the summer of 2007, a Volvo 7500, in 2011 a Man, which was not double-hinged, but had 5 doors. In 2016, a VanHool AGG 300, which has since been converted into a toy bus.
