This breathtaking hike in the San Juan national forest of Colorado will leave you speechless! We start this hike in the South Mineral campground across the street from the trail head. Starting at well over 10,000 feet of elevation. The trail is 6.8 miles round trip. It took us three hours to reach Ice Lake and it was so beautiful! You cannot miss this hike if your in the area. We drive pass Silverton, Colorado to find dispersed camping. For dinner Kellie makes salmon hibachi.
