The book series that convinced people they knew everything about Greek Mythology. When deciding we wanted to do a throwback series, we pretty quickly knew that we wanted to start with none other than Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. Published in June of 2005 (Kay was 16 and Steph was 6), the story follows 12 year old Percy Jackson as he finds out that he is not only a demigod, but a son of the Sea God himself, Poseidon. What could ever go wrong?

The Mavens feel it is important to note that while Rick Riordan has not actively spoken out (at the time of this video going up) against Palestine, his statements of neutrality are not good enough.
