I got inspired to get a van after a climbing holiday to the USA in 2017. This video gives a short overview of how I have set it up. I regularly stay near the harbour in Sydney after work if I have an early start the next day, or have a late night. I am away in the Blue Mountains most weekends and the van makes it more comfortable if the weather turns bad.

I have only ever had one knock on the door when I accidentally parked in a private sports carpark in the city. The security guy was friendly and suggested I park just outside the gate he was about to lock on the street. I have been using this van regularly over the past year, and can see that it would be easy to live in a van, especially in the city where it is easy to get take away food, use a laundromat, catch up with friends etc. It would be nice to have more drawers to store things, but this simple set-up works well for me for now.
